Amazing Grace from a Kitchen table! (Sung to the tune of Amazing Grace)

We love to sing of amazing grace
Our hearts beat faster as we do
Yet walls, so tall
Block farmers all
From figs and crops their own

The guns seem to grow like weeds they say
And violence plays its tune
We love our grace but
Live in fear
Of those we’re called to love

Hold hands they say is love for all
Yet if two men show love
Hold  hands or kiss we hold them out
Where is that amazing grace?

Now where or where is that grace we seek
Or where is that universal love
The church you say, is that really so
If all are not welcome there?

So tell me now where is that grace
Compassion, love and peace?
Wake up my friends, it’s very nearby,
Just look in the mirror now.
